Overview

14th & Spring is a premier gateway project in Atlanta’s Midtown, completed in 2022. This urban mixed-use development is strategically located next to a new 70,000 square-foot Whole Foods and just a few blocks from the Midtown MARTA Rail station. The project adds 339 luxury residential apartments and 3,200 square feet of curated retail space to the bustling Midtown neighborhood. An adjacent Class A office tower offers 320,000 square feet of in-demand leasable office space. A public plaza nestled between the two towers provides pedestrian connections to Spring Street, 14th Street, and Williams Street, and a public park is under design along 14th Street.

Approach

Ironwood Design Group’s approach to 14th & Spring centered on creating an urban oasis that integrates seamlessly with the vibrant Midtown environment. The design emphasizes connectivity and accessibility, enhancing the pedestrian experience in one of Atlanta’s most dynamic neighborhoods.

The development includes a public plaza designed to foster community interaction and provide a serene retreat amid the urban bustle. This plaza features carefully planned pedestrian connections that link Spring Street, 14th Street, and Williams Street, facilitating easy access to the surrounding amenities and transportation hubs.

Ironwood’s landscape design for the plaza incorporates a blend of natural and urban elements, including native plantings, contemporary seating, and art installations that reflect the cultural vibrancy of Midtown Atlanta. The upcoming public park along 14th Street is designed to offer additional green space, further enhancing the area’s appeal as a destination for residents and visitors alike.

The project’s residential component offers 339 luxury apartments with modern amenities, while the adjacent Class A office tower provides 320,000 square feet of premium office space.
