Growing up, Erik developed a lifelong love for the environment and an appreciation for the artistic beauty of the natural world. His natural creative abilities drew him to a career in design, and his love for the natural environment made landscape architecture the perfect career.
Erik obtained his B.A. in Landscape Architecture from Cornell University in Ithaca, New York. He worked as a landscape architect at various firms before launching Ironwood Design Group in 2014 with his business partner Sam Sampson. Erik draws creative inspiration from the mid-century design movement, formal English gardens, and the work of architectural legends Richard Neutra and M. Paul Friedberg.
Erik lives in Marietta, Georgia, with his wife and three children. He enjoys searching for collectibles and movie night with his family, which always includes buttered popcorn!
