Ironwood Design Group | Sanctuary Park

Artists of all mediums have that one project that reminds them why they are passionate about what they do. For Erik Jarkins and Sam Sampson, that project is Sanctuary Park. Tucked away in Alpharetta, Georgia, convenient from the GA-400 Highway, Sanctuary Park is everything the name suggests. Home to a lengthy list of notable Fortune 500 companies, the esteemed office complex has a plethora of amenities to keep the tenants happy and productive throughout their stay. Aside from the luxurious interior, the private-park setting is surrounded by lush greenery and preserved forestation, a purposeful mission by the team over the years.     [caption id="" align="alignnone" width="504"] Ironwood Design Group | Sanctuary Park[/caption]   Sanctuary Park has been a working project across Erik’s three architecture companies (Smallwood, High Grove, and the current Ironwood Designs) and has grown immensely since the one office space he began with.     “To see it grow from the one office space to where it is now, I don’t want to say it’s an honor,” he trails off. “But yeah, it is.” The 1.6Msquarefootage offers more than just a productive space. Covering 150 acres of master-planned development, Sanctuary Park houses a relaxing spring-fed lake, rotating food trucks, specialized exercise facilities, a private shuttle for tenants and even a communal softball team (field on the land of course).          Continuously working on the landscape of the massive project has become somewhat of a passion project for Erik, as he continues to add to the lush surroundings. With a fixture being engulfed in the forest and natural land, Sam and Erik have made it a mission to keep the effects of the construction itself minimal. He explains Ironwood, after being inspired by the capabilities of Sanctuary Park, is looking to do more low impact development, even down to water sustainability throughout production.     While Erik doesn’t have a set date on when Sanctuary Park will be “done,” it is safe to say that the inspiration that the project has given him has expanded across his career and will faithfully continue to do so.  ]]>
