Ironwood Design Group has the rare forte of captivating the essence of a space and fashioning it into the creative presentation of their products. The George Atlanta recognized this and hand-selected Ironwood to design their amenities deck. Using their 4 Design Principals, Ironwood crafted an experience that keeps the community at the forefront of the design.  

Dubbed “The Skypad”, The George’s amenity deck features the first and only rooftop pool in the Grant Park neighborhood. Ironwood skillfully accented the resort-style saltwater pool with an extra-wide sun shelf, a cast stone fire pit, and elegant timber pergolas to truly make the facility a picturesque destination for relaxing in the sun or enjoying a crackling fire on chilly nights. To add to the tranquil vibe of The Skypad, Ironwood incorporated a 20-foot-long full-service bar, 2 large flat-screen televisions, a kitchen, and abundant seating for sky view dining. The Ironwood team utilized their creative genius to perfectly place a glass wall to give the appearance of a forced edge while expanding the rooftop view of the skyline.  

While the major amenities are undeniably the highlights of The Skypad, the intricate details truly highlight the Ironwood brand. Every minute detail was carefully crafted by Erik Jarkins and his team to stylize the pool deck with a contemporary array of materials; from the textured pool deck to the steel paneled handrails, to the bold colors of the trellis structures and shower tiles. All of the architecture comes together to deliver a breathtaking, sweeping skyline view. 

The Skypad was designed on a $750,000 budget, with the George sparing no expense in order to make its residents feel at home. Ironwood Design Group successfully constructed an amenity deck that allows residents to enjoy the beauty of the Atlanta skyline in the comfort of their own apartment complex. Due to Ironwood’s imagination and diligence, The George now boasts a poolside paradise.
